The

Motmot Room

The Motmot room is named after the bird which is found from Honduras South down to Western Ecuador. This bird has a striking appearance, is very colorful with a distinctively shaped and prominent tail feather.

La habitación Motmot es llamada así por el pájaro que se encuentra del sur de Honduras hasta el oeste de Ecuador. Este pájaro tiene un aspecto llamativo y es muy colorido con una pluma de cola prominente con una forma distintiva.

The Ceibo Room

The Ceibo (SAY-BO) room is named after a unique tree found along coastal Ecuador. Its distinctive green bulbous trunk and shape gives it a very unusual look. It has a long history of legends and superstitions surrounding it.

La habitación Ceiba es llamada así por un árbol único que se encuentra por la costa de Ecuador. Su tronco distinto, verde y bulboso y forma lo da un aspecto muy inusual. El árbol tiene una historia larga de leyendas y superstición en torno a él.

The Bamboo room is named after the plant. Bamboo is another symbol of the tropics - some varieties are the fastest growing plant on the planet. Strong and resilient it is a very versatile building material.

The Starfish

Room

The Starfish name embodies the classic symbol of the tropics. The starfish or seastar is an echinoderm found in many of the worlds’ seas. With its unusual shape and vast array of colours, starfish have played a part in literature, legend, design and popular culture.
